Services

Regardless of the job a person does, the use of drugs and alcohol can be impairing. An employee impaired by drugs or alcohol increases the risk of errors in financial transactions and professional advice as well as inappropriate behaviour towards customers and other employees. At an organizational level, such conduct raises the potential for serious reputational harm. Moreover, drugs and alcohol pose a safety risk in office-based work environments just as much as they do in a warehouse, on the factory floor or on the road and all organisations have a duty of care to ensure the health and safety of their staff.

Having a robust drug and alcohol policy is a good start towards managing this risk and meeting your WHS obligations, but a truly effective drug and alcohol program requires that policy to be implemented. This includes providing drug and alcohol training for all workers, specialised training for supervisors and managers, ongoing education and regular workplace testing. Applying these measures to mobile field forces can be challenging but DASA’s flexible training and testing services ensure that an entire workforce can be covered by the drug and alcohol programme. DASA has over 10 years’ experience implementing efficient and cost effective drug and alcohol programs for service based organisations and we can help you too.
