Decongestants, expectorants, suppressants…. they are everywhere at this time of year. Many are household names. But how much do you really know about them?


In our upcoming Winter webinar, DASA’s managing director and Occupational Physician, Associate Professor David Allen, is joined by scientific director John De Mellow for a deep dive into cough and cold medicines. Together, they will guide you through the common treatments, highlighting what works and what doesn’t, and the implications for workplace drug and alcohol programs.


This webinar is for executives, business owners, health and safety managers, risk managers, drug & alcohol coordinators, and health professionals.

Speakers:

A/Prof David Allen, MBBS(Hons), DPH, FAFOEM Occupational and Environmental Physician, Conjoint Appointee, UNSW School of Public Health and Community Medicine, Managing Director DASA and Sydney Occupational Health. With over 30 years’ experience in occupational medicine, Dr Allen is a leading authority on workplace health and managing drugs and alcohol at work.


John De Mellow, BSc, Scientific Director – A specialist in workplace drug & alcohol testing, John’s expertise spans from test kits to laboratory confirmation. He is a life member of the industry association Workplace Drug Testing Australia (WDTA), as well as WDTA’s representative on the Standards Australia ASNZS 4760 (2019) and ASNZS 4308 Review Committee.
